Dan's '76 British 500cc GP Photos

In the summer of '76 I found myself living in a very hot, dry and dusty UK, believe it or not. And what better thing to do on a warm 4th of July weekend than go to the races!!! The guy in the yellow here, partially obscured, is Roger DeCoster on the then-amazing 400cc Suzuki.

And no, this isn't Woodstock, it's still the '76 British GP--you can't believe how warm it was there that summer..in the center of the picture you can see local hero Graham Noyce crossing the finish line for the overall win. This was a classic european race, held literally in a farmers' pasture in the western countryside.
